Our Freshness Promise

We hand-pack each basket with care. Many of our items, like cheeses, meats, chocolates, and baked goods, are perishable and time/temperature sensitive. For that reason, our policy treats perishable and non-perishable items differently.

Perishable Items (Food & Temperature-Sensitive Goods)

All sales are final on perishable items once they have shipped, been delivered, or picked up—except in cases of damage, spoilage at delivery, or a packing error by us.

If your perishable item arrives damaged, spoiled, or incorrect:

  • Contact us within 48 hours of the carrier's marked delivery time (or your pickup time) at (717) 535-3838 or info@dutchcountrygiftbaskets.com.
  • Include your order number, a brief description, and clear photos of:
    1. the outer box (including shipping label),
    2. the internal packaging/insulation/ice packs, and
    3. the product(s) of concern.
  • Approved claims for perishable issues are eligible for replacement or store credit (our choice, based on availability). Refunds to original payment may be issued at our discretion.

Important: Because we cannot control storage conditions after delivery, we are unable to accept returns or issue credits for perishable items reported after 48 hours, for items left outside, or for taste preferences.

Non-Perishable Items (Coolers, tumblers, etc)

Eligible non-perishable items may be returned within 14 days of delivery if:

  • They are unused, unopened, and in original packaging; and
  • You obtained a Return Authorization (RA) from us before sending anything back.

How it works

  1. Email info@dutchcountrygiftbaskets.com with your order number to request an RA.
  2. Ship the item back within 7 days of RA approval to the address we provide.
  3. Use a trackable shipping method and keep your receipt. Return shipping is your responsibility unless we made an error.
  4. After inspection, approved returns receive a refund to the original payment method for the product price (shipping, delivery, and gift wrap are non-refundable).
    • A restocking fee (up to 15%) may apply for opened or non-resalable packaging.

Custom, Personalized, & Sale Items

  • Custom or personalized items (e.g., engraved or logo drinkware, custom notes or logos printed directly on products) are final sale and not eligible for return or refund unless defective on arrival.
  • Sale, seasonal, and clearance items are final sale.

Order Changes & Cancellations

  • Standard orders: You may request a change or cancellation within 1 hour of placing your order if it hasn't started processing/shipping.
  • Custom/personalized orders: Once production begins, these are not cancellable.
  • To request a change/cancellation, email info@dutchcountrygiftbaskets.com with “Change/Cancel Order #[number]” in the subject line.

Refunds: Method & Timing

  • Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method (or as store credit when applicable).
  • Please allow 5-10 business days after we process the refund for it to appear on your statement (bank/issuer timing varies).
  • Shipping, delivery, and gift wrap are non-refundable unless we made an error.

How to Report an Issue

  1. Within 24-48 hours: Email info@dutchcountrygiftbaskets.com with your order number.
  2. Attach clear photos (outer box, label, insulation/ice packs, and affected items).
  3. Briefly describe the issue and whether you prefer a replacement or store credit (final decision based on availability and policy).
  4. Keep all packaging until we confirm next steps.
